Summer Re-cap:

The Franchise Round Ball Classic in Rochester New York was a tune-up to start the season. The Blues played in the U16/U17 age category and had a record of 3-1 in pool play which made it a little more challenging going into the bracket play. St. David met up with Franchise U16 in the finals to capture the tournament championship. Outstanding performances by Agunwa Okolie, Henry Tan, Troy Knight, Marcus Hanson, as well as the entire squad throughout this tournament.

The Indiana Shootout was a premier tournament attended by many US college coaches. St Davids made it to the quarter finals where they lost to an extremely talented TEAM NABRASKA. St Davids was down by 19 at the start of the 3rd quarter and fought back hard to bring it within 2 points. A couple of unlucky bounces, turnovers and fouls, was the turning point in this game. A total complete effort by the team and the "talk of the tournament",
as St Davids played exceptionally well and impressed many US Schools; Indiana State, Akron, New Mexico State, Tennessee Tech, Kennesaw State, Minnesota, Drury, Elon, and Ohio.

The Louisville Hoops Mania was definitely a challenging tournament, in that we were missing our two 6'7" players, Agunwa Okolie (Provincial Team) and Ismar Sefaragic (personal). Our style of play had to be changed and the St David squad embraced the challenge of not having the luxury of their two "bigs". Zach Shaban provided a gallant effort throughout the tournament fighting through injuries. Henry Tan, Troy Knight and Marcus Hanson played a key role running the offenses and being leaders. Vince Di Vito and Tashan Yarde shot the ball extremely well throughout this tournament. Kevin Rashidi, Josh Rhodius, Mackenzie Morrison (1995), Eric Roth and Brandon Goin-Bailey gave yeomen effort on defense. St Davids made it to the finals where they lost to an impressive 'Ville Team from Louisville.

Many players garnered much interest from College scouts as they were particularly impressed with their fundamental skill levels and abilities to play within a conceptual system that allows them creativity as well as structure. All in all, a very successful season. Looking forward to next years runs in Europe and the US.
