Brampton Warriors Battle to the Wire at the Prestigious YAAACE Tourney! |
![]() |
| Probably the most prestigious tournament at the Major Bantam age in OBA's took place this weekend and, it was indeed a classic!!! This tourney showcased 8 of the Top 10 teams in the province and it was a preview of what will take place in London in April! The finals had the two top teams in Ontario square off at Downsview S.S where the Brampton Warrior #1 clawed it out with home team YAAACE. Btown came out as the victors in the dying seconds, pulling off 57-56 win infront of a jammed packed gymnasium. The one point victory really speaks for itself as both teams showed all weekend long why they are the top dogs at this age level, but the competition all weekend wasn't easy, with the likes of Can 6, St Davids, and the Scarborugh Blues, for these teams to contend with. The two teams know are split, 1-1 but Brampton showed all weekend that they wanted to win this and prevailed with the 1 point victory. MVP of the tournament was 5'10, Mr Intensity, Ty-Stewart Nelson for the Brampton Warriors. Conratulations to Coach Mark Poyser and the rest of the Btown Boys! Also, congratulations to Coach Devon Thompson and the YAAACE Manz for putting on a spectacular display and a Family Affair of a tournament! By Jason - knowthegame@live.ca February 4, 2010 |

| The YAAACE tournament saw the home team, play incredible basketball throughout the whole weekend but came up one basket short to the Brampton Warriors #1 in the finals, losing 57-56. Coach Devon Thompson, and the YAAACE squad really showed the elite level teams why they are most definetly one of the Top teams in the province. The tournament was an exceptional display of the talent the GTA has when it comes to hoops! Hats off to one of the best organizations and team of ballers in the province!
